Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition reflecting ultraviolet radiation of a specific wavelength and exhibiting controlling effect against agricultural vermin and hygienic vermin, by compounding a thermoplastic resin with a specific amount of one or more inorganic compounds selected from oxides, etc., of titanium, etc.

CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin (e.g. low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, etc.) is compounded with 1W50wt.%, preferably 5W30wt.% one or more kinds of oxides, compound oxides, sulfides or carbonates of elements selected from the group of titanium, zirconium, magnesium, calcium, etc., (e.g. potassium titanate, zirconium silicate, etc.), and the obtained composition is formed in the form of a film or a sheet.
