Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the proliferation of vermin represented by grain weevil, by placing a sterilizing apparatus at the outlet side of a husker or a rice-cleaner and sterilizing unpolished rice or polished rice immediately before packing in a bag.

CONSTITUTION: The sterilizing apparatus C is placed on the transfer path 2 connecting the outlet 1 of a rice-cleaner or husker A and the bagging machine B. Unpolished rice or polished rice is passed through the sterilizing apparatus C and bagged without delay to effect the sterilization of the unpolished or polished rice and prevent the generation of vermin. The sterilizing aparatus is preferably an ultraviolet sterilizer.
