To provide a vertical takeoff/landing aircraft capable of performing thrust control with a simple structure and of achieving safe taking off and landing in a narrow space where an obstacle is present.
A vertical takeoff/landing aircraft includes a propeller 2 which generates lift and thrust, a power supply means (e.g., a prime motor 3 as a power source) which supplies power to the propeller 2, the prime motor. 3, a main frame 4 supporting a seat and grounding legs, a subframe 5 supporting the propeller 2, a frame connecting unit connecting the main frame 4 and the subframe 5 rotatably, and a handle connected to the subframe 5. An occupant sitting on a seat 41 operates the handle to move the subframe 5 relative to the main frame 4, thereby to change the direction of the propeller 2.
