Abstract:
To further easily and rigidly fasten blades of a windmill and blade support parts while maintaining sufficient rigidity, in a vertical axis windmill.SOLUTION: In a vertical axis windmill, vertical blades 5 which are aligned around a vertical rotating shaft are attached to the rotating shaft via arms. Blade attachment means 16a for attaching the blades 5 to the arms comprises: blade support parts 21 which are arranged at tips of the arms, and overlapped on surfaces of the blades 5 at a rotation center side; a cylindrical collar 19 inserted into an attachment hole 18 which penetrates the blades 5; and a blade engagement body 22 arranged at the collar 19 differently therefrom, or integrally therewith, and overlapped on the surfaces of the blades 5 at an anti-rotation center side. The blades 5 are gripped by the blade support parts 21 and the blade engagement body 22 with bolts 23 inserted into the collar 19. The collar 19 bears axial forces of the bolts 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
