Abstract:

To provide a vertical firing furnace in which waste plastic can be used as inexpensive fuel, and to provide a firing method.

The vertical firing furnace has a waste plastic blowing lance having a lance diameter satisfying inequality (1); wherein, D1is the diameter (m) of the waste plastic spraying lance; Fpis the feed quantity (kg/sec) of waste plastic; t is the ignition time (sec) of waste plastic; θ is the angle of rest (degree) in rough stone; and ρpis the bulk density (kg/m3) of waste plastic.
