Title:
VERTICAL GRAIN SEPARATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11300282
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To separate grains into good grains and imperfect grains and simultaneously remove foreign matters mixed into good separated grains.

Air in a hollow section S of a base 2 is sucked by an exhaust fan set in an exhaust chamber and exhausted outside a machine. While grains fed from a hopper 5 are elevated by the separation nets 12 and grain elevating helical bodies 13 rotated relatively, small diameter imperfect grains and foreign matters are discharged into clearances between shell bodies 3, and imperfect grains are dropped onto a lower partition plate 3b, while foreign matters are passed from a louver 15 to a dust exhaust duct 14 and sucked into a hollow section S of the base 2. On the other hand, large diameter grains and foreign matters are discharged on an upper partition plate 3c and stored in a storage tank 4. When good grains are dropped naturally from the storage tank 4 to a winnowing machine 20, mixed spike aristae, straw wastes and the like dropped into the zigzag shape by a flowing-down plate 20d or the like are separated therefrom and sucked into the hollow section S of the base 2 through a suction duct 9.
