To provide a vertical gutter holding device rarely releasing the coupling between a vertical gutter and a vertical gutter stay even when force is applied to pull the vertical gutter in the opposite direction to the bottom piece of the vertical gutter stay.

Vertical grooves 6 opened outward are provided at both side sections of a vertical gutter 2. A vertical gutter stay 3 is formed into a nearly U-shape on the plan view provided with side pieces 5 at both side sections of a bottom piece 4 fitted with a fixing tool 1. Coupling sections 7 protruded to face each other are provided at the tip portions of the side pieces 5 of the vertical gutter stay 3. Each coupling section 7 is formed with a holding piece 9 and a hook pawl 10 protruded with the tip than the holding piece 9 toward the bottom piece 4. The vertical gutter 2 is inserted between both side pieces 5 of the vertical gutter stay 3, and the coupling sections 7 are coupled with the vertical gutter 2 to hold the vertical gutter 2.
