Abstract:
To provide a vertical lathe and a Y-axis adding mechanism by which a workpiece can be cut in various shapes by merely adding a simple mechanism.
The vertical lathe includes a Y-axis driving device 20 and a Y-axis table unit 30. The Y-axis driving device 20 includes a feed shaft 22 that extends from a Y axis base 21 to be connected with the Y-axis table unit 30, a driving part 24 for driving the feed shaft 22, and a release bar 25 that extends from the Y-axis base 21 linked with the feed shaft 22. In the Y-axis table unit 30, a fixed table 31 which is fixed on the rotary table 12 is installed, and a Y-axis table 32 is also installed to the fixed table 31 to be reciprocated in the Y-axis direction.
