Abstract:
To cancel or ease influence of gravitational force acting on joints to reduce torque needed for motors which respectively rotate the joints.SOLUTION: A vertical multijoint robot includes: a second joint; and a first spring. In the second joint, a body part is directly fixed to a fixing part or the body part is fixed to a movable part of a first joint in which a body part is fixed to the fixing part. A rotation axis of a movable part of the second joint is oriented in a direction other than a vertical direction. The first spring is disposed wound around the outer periphery side of the movable part of the second joint and its ends are respectively fixed to the body part and the movable part of the second joint.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
