Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: in the conventional drainage pump incorporated in an air conditioner, cavitation is generated with rotation of an impeller and noise is caused.
SOLUTION: The vertical-shaft centrifugal pump is provided with the impeller 14, a casing 11, a cover 13 which is fit to the casing 11, and form a pump chamber 12 to accommodate the impeller 14 together with the casing 11, a suction pipe 18 provided projectingly on the casing 11 to form a suction path 17 communicating with the lower center of the pump chamber 12, and a discharge pipe 20 provided projectingly on the pump casing 11 to form a discharge path 19 communicating with the outer periphery of the pump chamber 12. The impeller 14 is provided with an impeller shaft 27, a plurality of stays 28, and a plurality of pins 29. The impeller shaft 27 is connected to a driving motor 15 from the outside of the cover 13 in the upper part of the impeller 14. Stays are radially provided from the lower end of the impeller shaft 27. The pins 29 are protruded upward respectively from the stays nearly parallel with the axis of the impeller shaft 27.
