A pump shaft 9 is divided into an upper pump shaft 9a and a lower pump shaft 9b, the upper pump shaft 9a is connected with the lower pump shaft 9b by the intermediate shaft joint 32 in the pump pipe, and an upper end side part of the lower pump shaft is supported by the intermediate bearing 19. A distance L in an axial direction of a lower end of the upper pump shaft 9a and an upper end of the lower pump shaft 9b connected by the intermediate shaft joint 32 is set to be longer than any of a fixed side sliding member 23 used for the intermediate bearing 19 and the length in an axial direction of a rotating side sliding member 25 opposed to the fixed side sliding member 23. The fixed side sliding member 23 and the rotation side sliding member 25 can be moved to the upper end of the lower pump shaft 9b while the intermediate shaft joint 32 is decomposed. The fixed side sliding member 23 and the rotating side sliding member 25 are removed from the distance L between the upper pump shaft 9a and the lower pump shaft 9b.
