Abstract:
To provide a vertical shaft type windmill which is capable of realizing high efficiency compared to a conventional one.SOLUTION: A vertical shaft type windmill 1 includes: a first blade group 10 having blade members 11 and 12 which are freely rotatable about an axis A and disposed at regular intervals on a circumference P centered at the axis A; and a second blade group 20 having blade members 21 and 22 which are freely rotatable about the axis together with the first blade group 10 and disposed at regular intervals on the circumference P alternately with the respective blade members 11 and 12 of the first blade group 10. When θ1 is the distance in the circumferential direction between each of the blade members 11 and 12 of the first blade group 10 and each of the blade members 21 and 22 of the second blade group 20 adjacent to each of the blade members 11 and 12 of the first blade group 10 at the rear side in the rotational direction on the circumference P, θ2 is the distance in the circumferential direction between each of the blade members 11 and 12 of the first blade group 10 and each of the blade members 21 and 22 of the second blade group 20 adjacent to each of the blade members 11 and 12 of the first blade group 10 at the front side in the rotational direction on the circumference P, and N is the number of entire blade members disposed on the circumference, an expression θ1<(360°/N)<θ2 is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
