Abstract:
To restrict a weight increase while allowing opening/closing of a duct of a rotary blade for a lift, without using a drive device such as an actuator.SOLUTION: A vertical take-off and landing aircraft includes: a plurality of upper surface hinges 210 provided on an upper surface side opening 50a of a duct 50 and extending in a direction crossing a traveling direction of the vertical takeoff and landing aircraft; and a plurality of upper surface covers 230 rotatably supported by the upper surface hinges 210 and capable of opening/closing the upper surface side opening 50a of the duct 50. When the vertical take-off and landing aircraft advances, the upper surface covers 230 rotate in a closing direction by negative pressure generated on the upper surface side of an airfoil body and thereby closes the upper surface side opening 50a of the duct. When the vertical takeoff and landing aircraft hovers, the upper surface cover rotates in an opening direction by the pressure of an air stream flowing from the upper surface side to the lower surface side of the duct 50 as a rotary airfoil 70 rotates or by the own weight of the upper surface cover 230, and thereby opens the upper surface side opening 50a of the duct 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
