To obtain a vertical transporting device for grain capable of securely pushing back grain falling down from the gap between the internal peripheral surface of a transporting cylinder and the external peripheral surface of a rotary spiral body into the rotary spiral body while causing almost no increase of the cost and the weight of the transporting cylinder.
A swollen part 56 having an isosceles trapezoid cross section is formed integrally on the internal peripheral surface of the transporting cylinder 12 of the vertical grain transporting device 10 in the longitudinal direction. Though the swollen part 56 itself is made for pushing back the grain 46 spilt from the rotary spiral body 14 thereinto again, forming the swollen part 56 partially increases the plate thickness of the thin-walled transporting cylinder 12 and strengthens the cylinder 12. Accordingly, the fixing screw 58 can be threadedly inserted into this part and can be used for installing a lower constitutional body 22 and an upper constitutional body 38 on the transporting cylinder 12.
