Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely remove dust stuck on dust collecting plates under the continuous operation of the subject collector without particularly limiting the flow velocity of waste gas and without the fear of its re-scattering.
SOLUTION: In this collector, high voltage is applied between discharge electrodes 5 positioned between dust collecting plates 3 provided in vertical direction and the corresponding dust collecting plates 3 to form a dust collecting electric field between the both, and also dust particles in waste gas passing through between the both are electrified to stick on the surface of the dust collecting plates 3 to purify the waste gas. The dust collecting plates 3 are each coaxially arranged in the shape of cylinders of mutually different diameter, and are supported on a casing 2 through a lower support member 6 on the lower end side thereof. A drive means for subjecting the lower support member 6 to rotary driving is provided to rotate the dust collecting plates 3 as a whole, and on the other hand, between the respective dust collecting plates 3, sliding contact members in the vertical direction fixed to the casing 2 side and coming into slidable contact with the surface of the dust collecting plates 3 are provided. On both the side faces of the sliding contact member, separating members for separating the sliding contact parts with the surfaces of the dust collecting plates from the other dust collecting space are provided.
