Abstract:
To overcome a disadvantage in a conventional cross-flow windmill type in which although left half blades and right half blades of the windmill receive wind force equally, the left half blades receive wind on the front surface with a blade drum rotating counter-clockwise while the right half blades receive wind on the reverse surface with the blade drum trying to rotate clockwise, and due to an occurrence of this opposite force, the blade drum does not use wind force effectively.SOLUTION: A blade drum of a vertical type wind power generator is installed so as to be covered with a wind collection hood having a wind intake wider than the diameter of the blade drum. Natural wind is converged by the wind collection hood to generate strong wind force so that the blade drum fitted with a large number of blades is caused to rotate vigorously at high speed and generate power by an electric generator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
