To provide a vertical water permeability testing device suitable for carrying out a method of measuring the permeable anisotropy of the in-situ ground.
The vertical water permeability testing device is composed of an outer pipe rotated to excavate the ground; a tubular outer pipe rod for supporting the outer pipe and transmitting rotational force; a middle pipe enclosed in a nonrotating state inside the outer pipe to take in an undisturbed sample; a tubular middle pipe rod for supporting the middle pipe in a nonrotating state; and an inner pipe installed along the inner peripheral surface of the middle pipe and expanded to close up a waterway between the middle pipe and the undisturbed sample taken into the middle pipe, or contractible. The device is provided with a storage pump installed inside the middle pipe rod, and pressure sensors (water pressure gages) installed in the upper and lower positions of the middle pipe, and further includes an inner pipe expanding means and a data processing means.
