To provide a vertically carrying device capable of easily extending a vertical carriage distance even when a drilling site becomes deeper from a first basement floor to a second basement floor, where drilled sediment is vertically carried and discharged.

A vertically carrying device has a horizontal upper frame 4 with a discharge port 5 and a horizontal lower frame 6 with a supply port 17 connected together via a vertical frame 5 on which a chain 9 mounted with a carrying container is arranged to be circulated. In this case, an extension frame 7 is provided between the vertical frame 5 and the horizontal upper frame 4, the chain 9 pulled in the extension frame 7 is supported to be slidable to the extension frame 7, the vertical frame 5 is separatable up and down, a downward mover 20 to hold and move down the vertical frame 5 and the horizontal lower frame 6 thereunder as the vertical frame 5 remains separated, and an additional vertical frame 5 can be added between the separated vertical frame 5.
