To provide a vertically movable bed which can be lowered while placing the foot under a vertically movable plate, and by which a user is not hurt even when the foot is pinched by the vertically movable plate.
This vertically movable bed can vertically move a main body section 2a under a horizontal posture by connecting a base 1 and the main body section 2a of the vertically movable plate 2 which is formed into the same size as the base 1 by an X-shaped parallel link 3a. Then, the vertically movable bed is constituted in such a manner that an oversized section 2b which is separately formed from the main body section 2a is mount-supported by fastening sections 4 and 4 which are projected from the outer periphery of the main body section 2a. A bellows 6 is attached in a space between the base 1 and the main body section 2a, and the foot is prevented from entering the under space of the vertically movable plate 2 until the vertically movable plate 2 reaches the base 1.
