Abstract:
To improve redundancy in a main engine in a vessel.SOLUTION: A vessel 1A includes: a hull 2; a main engine 3; an output shaft 34; a propeller 42; a propeller driving shaft 4; a motor 5; and a shaft connection/disconnection unit 7. The main engine 3 is provided in the hull 2. The output shaft 34 is rotated and driven by the main engine 3. The propeller 42 is provided outside the hull 2. The propeller driving shaft 4 rotates the propeller 42. The motor 5 is provided on the propeller driving shaft 4 and rotates and drives the propeller shaft 4. The shaft connection/disconnection unit 7 disconnects the output shaft 34 and the propeller driving shaft 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
