Abstract:
To provide airfoils that include at least two flaps having high aerodynamic efficiency and high simplicity in use.SOLUTION: A vessel having at least partial sail propulsion force of a type including dual airfoils mounted to a controlled structure at an angle around a vertical axis 310 generally according to a condition, where the dual airfoils include at least one front flap 100 and one rear flap 200, at least one of them is asymmetric in front and back and separated by a slit. According to another aspect of this invention, the structure further includes a front mast 310 and a back mast 320 connected by a boom forming mechanism element 330 or by a gaff forming mechanism element 342, the respective masts extend into the respective airfoils 100, 200, and the structure is capable of being rotated on the rotational axis formed by the front mast 310.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
