Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel that can be easily berthed/deberthed to/from an unspecified port.SOLUTION: A vessel 1 is provided with: a hull 2; engines 3L and 3R that are arranged in the hull 2; jet-propulsion units 4L and 4R and a side thruster 36 that generate propulsion forces for moving the hull 2; distance measurement units 51-56 that measure distances to an object T; and a speed detection unit 57 that detects a vessel speed. The vessel 1 is provided with a control unit 31 that executes berthing/deberthing assistance control for causing the jet-propulsion units 4L and 4R and the side thruster 36 to generate propulsion forces for moving the hull 2 in a direction opposed to a direction toward the object T on the basis of the distances to the object T measured by the distance measurement units 51-56 and the vessel speed detected by the speed detection unit 57.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
