Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel with a stern nozzle arranged immediately before a propeller, capable obtaining high energy saving effect with a nozzle as a whole and capable of greater improvement in propulsion force by the stern nozzle.SOLUTION: A rear edge of a stern nozzle 10 is shaped to have a circular shape or an approximately circular shape with deviation amount outward from the inscribed circle thereof to be within 10% of the diameter of the inscribed circle as viewed from the stern direction and is arranged immediately before a propeller 3. An inflection point 11d at which the inclination angles of nozzle forward edges 11aa, 11ba of the stern nozzle 10 are changed as viewed from the horizontal direction of the hull, is provided. Both a center Cn of the rear edge circle or the inscribed circle of the stern nozzle 10 and the inflection point 11d are configured, regarding the vertical direction of the hull 2, to be in between a position 3% below a propeller diameter Dp and a position 10% above the propeller diameter Dp from a position on a top edge of a propeller boss, regarding the vertical direction of the hull.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
