Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive container useful for carrying a least amount of rod-shaped objects. CONSTITUTION: A container consists of a first part from which swabs are taken out and a second part which accommodates swabs, both being manufactured by press-forming a plastic sheet integrally into the same external form. These parts are folded once on the centerline to put the first and second parts one on another to form a space in which swabs 5 are accommodated in a line and securely held by a throat 9 to prevent them from running out of the container. It is a flat-structured container. A swab in the container is taken out by fingers inserted in an opening 7 picking up the middle portion. The throat 9 is forced open, when a swab is taken out, but bounces back to the original position to prevent the remaining swabs from running out of the container. The container is flat to be portable, has a simple structure and is mass-producible from the sheet.
