PURPOSE: To provide a vibrating type compressor that is able to prevent any drop in compression efficiency by the stabilization of a piston actuation and also any damage to a device from occurring.

CONSTITUTION: This compressor is composed of a piston driving part 13 driving a piston 12 after being given driving force, a displacement detecting part 14 connected in the axial direction of the piston 12, a top dead center position detecting element 15 detecting a top dead center position from a piston position signal out of this displacement detecting element 14, and a driving force control part 16 altering the driving force given to the piston 12 from the piston driving part 13 according to a difference between the top dead center position and the preset top dead center position reference valve immediately after the top dead center position detecting element 15 has detected the top dead center position.
