To provide a vibration absorbing connection rod having novel construction for reducing the transmission of vibration due to the displacement of a rod body and for allowing the setting of the dynamic spring constant of a vibration absorbing bush and the mass of the rod body at high degrees of freedom.

The vibration absorbing connection rod 10 comprises a vibration damping device 44 consisting of a hollow-structure housing 46 located on the half periphery parts of supporting cylinder portions 14, 16 at the opposite side to the rod body 12, and an independent mass member 50 stored and arranged in a mass storage void 48 formed in the hollow part of the housing 46 in a non-adhesive and independently displaceable manner. With vibration input in the axially perpendicular direction of the rod body 12, the independent mass member 50 is independently displaced relative to the housing 46 to elastically abut thereon.
