To provide a vibration absorbing device having sufficient vibration absorbing effects.

The vibration absorbing device comprises a vibrating means 110 mounted on a body frame BF, an outer cylinder 140 mounted on an underbody member, and a vibration absorbing base 150 connecting the vibrating means 110 to the outer cylinder 140. The vibrating means 110 drives a yoke member 124 in both directions of an outward motion process and a homeward motion process with the excitation of a coil 126. The yoke member 124 is reciprocated in the direction of cancelling input vibration to produce sufficient vibration absorbing effects. The exciting frequency of the coil 126 is properly changed to produce vibration absorbing effects in a desired frequency region. As a result, vibration to be transmitted from the underbody member to the body frame BF is sufficiently reduced, and so the transmission of the vibration into a vehicle room is suppressed to improve quietness and ride comfort.
