Title:
VIBRATION ACTUATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08196053
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To generate a vibration at arbitrary frequency and amplitude by disposing first and second yokes on the surfaces facing first and second coils, respectively, and providing magnets magnetized in the facing direction.

CONSTITUTION: A magnet 9a is disposed oppositely to a first coil 2b on a first yoke 8a while being magnetized in the facing direction whereas a magnet 9b is disposed oppositely to a second coil 3b on a second yoke 8b while being magnetized in the facing direction. When currents are fed to the first and second coils 2b, 3b in predetermined direction, a thrust 15 generated according to Fleming's rule and a mover reacts to move. When an AC current is fed to the mover, the mover vibrates according to the waveform of current. Since the mover includes a magnet and has some weight, the base part 1 also generates a vibration in the opposite direction to the mover. With such structure, a vibration can be generated at arbitrary frequency and amplitude according to the waveform of current.
