A super-magnetostrictive material 12 for vibratory suppressing having a nature to elongate under impression of a magnetic field and a nature to generate a magnetic field by a compression-weighted change from the outside is used as an exciting member which gives vibration for vibratory suppression to a pad through an elongative motion and the current to be fed to the first coil 14 installed around the magnetostrictive material 12 is controlled by a control device 26 so that a vibration having opposite phase to the vibration of the pad sensed by a vibration sensing means 23 at the time of braking is applied to the pad by means of elongative motion of the magnetostrictive material 12.
