To provide a damping controller of an electric vehicle which can prevent an increase in feeling of bad brake by suppressing an output of excessive vibration suppression compensation when a braking force of a brake is generated.

An FR hybrid vehicle having a motor generator MG as a power source is equipped with: a first torque target value calculating means 101 that calculates a first torque target value Tm*1 by F/F calculation in response to driver's request; a second torque target value calculating means 102 that calculates a second torque target value Tm*2 by F/B calculation using a transfer characteristic model Gp(s) that represents the relationship between the torque input and the rotating speed of the motor; and a motor torque command value setting means 103 that sets a motor torque command value Tm*to a value calculated from the first torque target value Tm*1 and the second torque target value Tm*2. The second torque target value calculating means 102 includes a section 102a for calculating an amount of correction for a norm response which inputs a braking force Fbrk of a brake and calculates an amount of correction for an estimated value for the rotating speed of the motor by using a filter that uses a transfer function Gpb(s) that represents the relationship between the braking force and the rotating speed of the motor.
