Title:
VIBRATION CONTROL MECHANISM OF EXISTING WOODEN HOUSE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003064902
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a vibration control mechanism capable of aiming to control the vibration, deformation or the like of a structure to the minimum and to prevent the collapse of the structure by easily absorbing and damping earthquake energy at low cost as a measure against an earthquake of the existing wooden house.

For accomplishing the purpose, both ends of a plurality of windings of a tortional coil spring are made as straight arms, the straight arms are so formed that they are held each other, a cylindrical piece consisting of an elastic material such as a rubber or the like is inserted in the circumference of the straight arm, a buffer constituted by providing an anchor on the circumferential edge of the cylindrical piece is placed to a position necessary for holding at a right angle to the relation between an indoor ceiling cornice and a column of the existing wooden house or the relation or the like of four corners of the ceiling cornice as the vibration control mechanism. The anchor is turned together with the cylindrical piece on the circumference of the straight arm of the vibration control mechanism to enable it to mount to an optional position.
