Title:
VIBRATION CONTROL STRUCTURE FOR LARGE SPAN FRAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06330656
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the degree of freedom in designing a large span construction and reduce the vibration of the construction by installing a vibration controller in the utilization of the additional mass, in the dead space formed on a land erection pillar of a large span steel reinforcement frame.

CONSTITUTION: In the hollow part of the pillar 1 of a steel frame construction A which has a large span and has a land erection pillar 1, allowing the pillar to pass through the underfloor, a passive mass damper having an additional mass 4 suspended through a spring 3 from a supporting plate 2 which is horizontally laid in the hollow part is installed. Then, between the additional mass 4 and the lower stage supporting plate 2, the active mass damper having a driving device 5 installed is installed. In an earthquake, or in the case where a strong wind pressure is given, or in the vibration for the work on a floor, the vibration of the construction A is reduced by the action of the passive mass damper, active mass damper, or a hybrid mass damper in the combination of the above-described two dampers. Accordingly, the space inside the steel frame pillar 1 can be used effectively, and the degree of freedom in design can be increased.
