Title:
VIBRATION CONTROL SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000310058
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To reduce manufacturing cost, and to facilitate maintenance to reduce cost by providing a base isolation device on the foundation part of a building of large aspect ratio and a passive vibration control device on the upper part of the building.

A base isolation device 2 is provided on the foundation part of a building 1, and a passive vibration control device 3 is provided on the roof of the building 1. When the aspect ratio of the building 1 is over 3.5, the weight in the passive vibration control device 3 is set to be 1/200-1/50 of the total weight of the building and over 1% of the effective mass of the building. For the passive vibration control device 3, a TMD system is adopted, namely, a weight 6 is supported with rubber 7 of elastic body. Otherwise, the weight 6 is slidably supported on a linear rail 8, and the weight 6 is locked in the horizontal direction with elastic bodies 9 of coil spring. Hereby, even in the building of the aspect ratio over 3.5 the base isolation construction can be formed so that the axial stress and the axial deformation of the laminated rubber of the base isolation device on the tension side are made small.
