Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibration of a stern boss structure in left and right directions especially caused by propeller vibratory force in the stern boss structure surrounding a stern pipe having a propeller shaft interpolated therein.
SOLUTION: In a stern boss structure, a U-shaped tank as a vibration control tank is composed of a left and right hull outer plates 2 and 2, an upper bent inner wall 3 and a lateral lower inner wall 4 between a pair or front and rear floor plates. Liquid 9 is supplied in so as to leave air layers 8a and 8b in the upper layer of the inside of left and right U-shaped rigid tank sections 6a and 6b and a dynamic vibration absorber as a vibration system of a degree of freedom 1 is constituted by the mass of the liquid 9 and the spring rigidity of the air layers 8a and 8b.
