To provide a vibration control system 10 having a reduced weight for improved constructing efficiency and a reduced number of damping rubbers for improved economical efficiency, while performing improved vibration control function.
The vibration control system 10 comprises a frame 12, and two vibration control units 14 mounted in the vertical direction thereof. Each vibration control unit 14 has two transmission parts 32a, 32b, and a vibration control device 34 arranged therebetween. The transmission parts 32a, 32b formed of rigid materials are arranged in double layers with their ends connected to the frame 12 for transmitting the vibration of the frame 12 to the vibration control device 34 without causing the deformation. The vibration control device 34 has connection members 42, 46 connected to the two transmission parts 32a, 32b, and a high damping rubber member 48 held between the connection members 42, 46 for reducing the relative displacement of the connection members 42, 46 when moved with the transmission parts 32a, 32b. Thus, the vibration control system 10 damps the vibration of the two vibration control units 14 due to earthquake or the like.
