Abstract:

To provide a vibration damper shim structure, capable of exerting a vibration damping effect in a wide range as well as preventing a grabbing chatter particularly at low temperatures.

A rubber coating layer a1 is formed at one side of a first restricted plate a2 of metallic plate, a second restricted plate a4 is adhered to the other side of the first restricted plate a2 with putting a pressure sensitive adhesive a3 between them so as to form a vibration damping shim structure A, the ratio of the thickness of the first restricted plate a2 to the total thickness of a back plate b1 forming a disk brake pad B and the second restricted plate a4 is ranged from 0.1 to 0.2, and the second restricted plate a4 is used as contacting with the back plate b1.
