Title:
VIBRATION-DAMPING CONSTRUCTION FOR FLOOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5914595
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To positively damp the vibration of an accommodation deck, by a method wherein plates are placed in a slanted overlapping multi-layer condition on a base, and a surface layer covering material is laid on the plates.

CONSTITUTION: The plates 13 such as steel plates are placed in a slanted overlapping multi-layer condition on a floor structural base 3 for a steel-made accommodation deck of a ship or a marine structure. Each adjacent pair of the plates 13 can be slightly slidden relatively to each other. The surface layer covering material 21 such as a vinyl sheet is laid on the plates 13. When the base 3 is vibrated, the plates 13 thus overlappingly arranged are minutely vibrated while sliding against each other, and the friction produces a vibration- damping effect.
