Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping device of new structure for a vehicle easily placing an independent mass member in a condition of separation/contact relating to a housing when a vibration is input, to be capable of more effectively displaying a vibration damping effect based on impact action of the independent mass member relating to the housing.
SOLUTION: An independent mass member 16 is formed in flat plate shape, also an opposed surface relating to a housing 14 of the independent mass member 16 in a vibration input direction is provided so as to partially abut relating to the housing 14. In this way, springing displacement of the independent mass member 16, when a vibration is input, is more favorably generated, so that improvement of a vibration damping effect by impact to the housing 14 can be attained.
