Abstract:
A target vibration level is determined in advance, and vibration occurring at a position where vibration is to be controlled is kept below the target vibration level. The device comprises a frequency detection means, which detects the frequency of vibration caused by a vibration source, a vibration detection means, which detects vibration of a frequency equal to the frequency of vibration caused by the vibration source and detected by the frequency detection means at the position where vibration is to be controlled, a vibration level conversion means, which converts the detected vibration to a vibration level, a vibration means, which is disposed at a position different from the position where vibration is to controlled and that generates a vibration control force to cause vibration at the position where vibration is to be controlled, a comparison means, which compares the vibration level to a predetermined target vibration level, and a vibration command generating means, which generates a vibration command to reduce vibration to the target vibration level when the comparison result from the comparison means shows the vibration level to exceed the target vibration level, and that outputs the generated vibration command to the vibration means.
