Abstract:
To provide a predetermined damping performance against small amplitude vibrations while suppressing damage to a vibration damping device during large amplitude vibrations.SOLUTION: A vibration damping device 30 includes: a pair of base members 32 facing each other and provided on a lower beam 14L; an orifice member 50 having an orifice 52, provided on an upper beam 14U that moves relative to the lower beam 14L, and disposed between the pair of base members 32; and a pair of extensible bodies 70 each having a fluid storage chamber 72 that accommodates a fluid W and whose volume increases and decreases as it expands and contracts, provided on both sides of the orifice member 50, connecting the orifice member 50 and the pair of base members 32, and whose fluid storage chambers 72 are connected via the orifice 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
