Title:
VIBRATION-DAMPING FRAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP10184069
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a vibration-damping frame capable of displaying a damping effect against vibrations from a wind and strong and small earthquakes to a large earthquake.

The vibration-damping frame is arranged among vertically separated beams in the frame of a building, upper frame materials 21 extended from the upper beams to lower section are installed, lower frame materials 22 elongated from the lower beams to upper sections are mounted, and the upper and lower frame materials 21, 22 are disposed so that the front end sections of the upper and lower frame materials are superposed mutually at fine clearances. Viscoelastic bodies 23 are held in the fine clearances to form low vibration-damping sections 20, plasticized plastic members 25 having strength lower than these frame materials 21, 22 and strength higher than the low vibration-damping sections 20 are set up to the specified sections of the upper frame materials 21 and/or the lower frame materials 22, and the plastic members 25 are arranged in series with the low vibration-damping sections 20.
