Abstract:
To provide a light-weight low-cost vibration damping material for a floor, which can muffle floor impact sound propagating downstairs as much as possible.
One surface of an asphalt vibration damping plate having iron oxide powder in asphalt is laminated with felt having a density of 35 to 72.5 kg/m3. Preferably the asphalt vibration damping plate has a specific gravity of 2 to 3.3 and a thickness T1 of 2 to 12 mm. Preferably the felt is formed from fiber of a polyester synthetic resin, preferably fiber having a large diameter and large winding to reduce collapse due to weight in particular, with a preferred thickness T2 of 2 to 6 mm.
