Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize data flow according to a connecting state of various option boards by switching a processing board so that flow of image data is optimized when at least one of a first, a second, and a third processing boards is mounted on an image forming device.
SOLUTION: A PM part 103, a FAX part 104, a PRT part 105 and an HDD part 106 are optional boards associated with a fundamental structural part of a copying machine. The device is constituted, based on a copying function and furthermore to achieve an extension copying function like memory copying, etc., a FAX function and a printer function. Regarding the flow of the image data in fundamental structure, the image data flows to a scanner part 4, an image processing part 100 and a printer part 6 (a). When the PM part 103 is mounted on the copying machine as an option (b), the data from the image processing part 100 is temporarily held by the PM part 103 by every page through an image bus, compressed and stored as a compressed file.
