Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a vibration fine cutting attachment whereby a hard fragile material of metal, glass, ceramics, etc., can be high accurately machined further with fine machining inexpensively capable by mounting them on an existing machine tool.

CONSTITUTION: A vibration fine cutting attachment, comprising a machining head 1 of machining a workpiece, vibration part 2 of supporting this machining head also to fine vibration excite it, back component detecting part 4 of detecting back component of cutting reaction force acting in the machining head 1, fine moving part 5 of fine moving a position of the machining head and a control means 6 of controlling this fine moving part 5 so as to always fix the back component detected by the back component detecting part 4, is used by mounting a mounting part 7 on a tool mounting part of an NC machine tool or the like.
