Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a venous return promotion apparatus which can effectively promote a blood flow and prevent generation of thrombus or the like.SOLUTION: A venous return promotion apparatus 1 stimulates a part of a body by giving vibration generated by a vibrator 5 to promote a blood flow. The venous return promotion apparatus 1 includes: a touching part 2 to touch on a part of a lower limb of the body; a first vibration generation part to drive the touching part 2 into simple harmonic motion in a touching direction between the touching part 2 and the part of the lower limb; and a second vibration generation part to drive the touching part 2 into simple harmonic motion in a direction orthogonally crossing a vibration direction of the first vibration generation part that is a direction along the part of the lower limb touched by the touching part 2. By giving elliptical vibrations vibrating in mutually orthogonally crossing directions obtained from the first vibration generation part and the second vibration generation part to the part of the lower limb via the touching part, it is possible to promote a venous return flow.
