To provide a vibration generation device for calibrating a vibrometer based on an acceleration, capable of calibrating accurately, and suppressing increase of a conformation or a mass.
This device includes a movable part 20 capable of mounting/dismounting a detection part of the vibrometer, a first coil 60 disposed on the movable part 20, and a servo type acceleration sensor 40 built in the movable part 20. Since the acceleration of the movable part 20 can be detected directly by the sensor 40, a large-scale measuring system is not required. The servo type acceleration sensor 40 has very high accuracy in comparison with a general acceleration sensor. Consequently, the vibrometer can be calibrated accurately, and increase of the mass can be suppressed.
