PURPOSE: To test a write/read characteristic at the time of exciting vibration and to preserve test data in a data base for investigating vibration resistance/ impact resistance performance at the time of operating an external storage.

CONSTITUTION: The test contents is set to a R/W tester from a personal computer 6 being a controller for a vibration impact test system to start the write/ read of the test data. Then, a vibration exciting condition is set to a vibration exciter controller 4 controlling a vibration exciter 2 exciting the external storage 1 from the personal computer 6 to start vibration exciting. Then, when error information is outputted from the R/W tester 5 while exciting, the output is fetched by the personal computer 6 to be displayed on a display screen, and the vibration exciting condition at this time is obtained from the vibration exciter controller 4, and preserved in the data base in the personal computer 6.
