PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive vibration insulating bush easy to manufacture and excellent in durability.
CONSTITUTION: A holding member 1 is manufactured by press-molding a plate material, and formed of a holding part 11 curved upward into a square cylindrical form and mounting seats 12 extending to both sides from an inserting opening 1a formed in the holding part 11. A rubber vibration insulator 3 is a block body long sideways, and this is pressed and contracted from both the sides and inserted into the holding part 1 through the inserting opening 1a. The vertical sides of L-shaped mounting brackets 4 bonded to both the ends of the rubber vibration insulator 3 are pressed onto the lateral side walls of the holding part 11 by the original returning force of the rubber vibration insulator 3. The horizontal sides of the mounting brackets 4 are fixed to the mounting seats 12 by bolts connected to weld nuts 13. Since the stress in the rubber vibration insulator 3 is converted to the compressed side, the durability is improved. As no drawing is required, and the holding member 1 can be obtained by integral molding by press, the manufacturing can be easily conducted at a low cost.
