The vibration insulating device 50 connects two members 16, 18 of the handheld work machine 10 via a coil spring 54. One part 54a of the coil spring 54 is supported by a first supporting member 52 fixed to one member 16, and the other part 54b is supported by a second supporting member 56 fixed to the other member 18. In at least either one of the first supporting member 52 and the second supporting member 56, threaded grooves 52a, 56a to be screwed to the coil spring 54 and tool engaging portions 53a, 57a to be engaged with a general-purpose tightening tool are formed.
