PURPOSE: To provide a device, in which at the time of supporting a structure, a support device is formed by a shaft capable of controlling the axial force so as to perform remarkable vibration isolation and vibration control extending over a wide range where the vibration frequency is about 0 to high.
CONSTITUTION: Shafts 4, 5 are provided in the direction right-angled to the direction Y of movement of a structure 1 between the structure 1 and a floor 7 through universal joints 2, 3. Further, the shaft 45 is connected to a shaft fixing part 8, and the shaft 5 is connected to an axial force control device through universal joints 6, 9. In some case, a spring 11 may be added between the structure 1 and the floor 7. The displacement and speed of the structure 1 and the displacement of the floor 7 are detected, and according to the values, the axial force is controlled, so that the vibration transmitted from the floor 1 to the structure 1 can be isolated and the vibration in the case where disturbance is directly applied to the structure 1 can be controlled.
